A recent study from Sydney found that a low protein diet meant that subjects consumed more calories, which could lead to weight gain in the long term.
Reasons ranged from protein snacks being healthier snacking alternatives, to appetite control - since most recommended protein snacks are dense and nutritious foods when compared to commonly consumed carbs and fats.
